Dr. Igbadumhe Abaye Friday is an accomplished academic and seasoned professional in the field of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, with over fifteen years of extensive experience across teaching, research, training,
and consulting. As an Advisory Board Member and the Director of the Centre for Executive Education and Research at Edgeford Business School, he brings a wealth of insight and strategic leadership to the institution’s mission of fostering innovation, executive learning, and industry-relevant scholarship.

Dr. Friday holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Industrial and Labour Relations from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, where he graduated top of his class. He further earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in
Industrial Sociology from the University of Ibadan, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management from Covenant University, Ota.

He currently serves as the Coordinator of Postgraduate Programmes in the Department of Management and Accounting at Lead City University, Ibadan. He is also a former Director of Training and Administration and Head of Research and Development at the Institute of Management Leadership and Productivity Development (IMLPD), where he designed and led high-impact capacity-building programmes for organizations across the public and private sectors.

Dr. Friday’s professional expertise spans academia, consulting, and entrepreneurship development. He has made notable contributions to leadership and management consulting, manpower and talent development, and strategic human
capital transformation, positioning him as a critical resource in organizational development and performance improvement.
